FAQs

We’ve answered some of the questions families ask us most often, from what to wear to how sessions work. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, please get in touch. Our team will be more than happy to help with any queries.

Classes & Booking

How do I book a class?

Booking is quick and simple through our Twisters app and booking platform HERE, where you can explore classes, camps and session availability.

If you have any questions, please contact us via email.

Can my child try a class before committing?

Yes - we’d love your child to come and experience Twisters first. Our free taster sessions help children explore movement, meet the coaches and see if Twisters feels right for them.

After your taster, your child’s place will be held for 4 days to give you time to confirm enrolment. You can book a taster session via this form.

How do I know which class is right for my child?

Classes are grouped by age and ability on iClassPro. If you’re still unsure which class to choose, please contact us and we’ll happily guide you.

Can my child move up a class?

Yes. Gymnasts are regularly assessed by our coaches and will be moved up when they’re ready.

Do you run holiday camps?

Yes! We run activity camps, preschool camps and specialist camps (such as Acro badge camps) during school holidays. Details of upcoming camps will be added to our Holiday Activities page.

Can parents stay and watch?

While your child is moving, learning and having fun in the gym, parents can relax in our café viewing area with coffee, cake and a live stream of the session.

For most independent classes, children attend without parents in the gym. Preschool sessions may differ.

We offer parent ‘watching weeks’ during each term.

Parents can also watch our yearly in-house competition for those enrolled in classes of two hour duration.

For safeguarding and health & safety reasons, we kindly ask that parents refrain from sitting in the gym reception or hallways, as these are not a viewing area.

Do you offer birthday parties, or private hire, or private lessons?

We do. Please view our Parties page for more information, or click here to book.

If you would like to discuss private hire or 1-2-1 lessons, please email us.

Fees, Membership & Payments

How much are classes?

Our sessions are designed to be flexible for families, with simple monthly memberships and clear booking options available through our app.

Full pricing can be requested via email, and is also available at the point of booking on iClassPro.

Is there a membership fee?

Yes, an annual membership fee is required per gymnast. Membership fees are payable by equal monthly instalments. This is non-refundable.

Monthly instalments begin when a member joins the Club and continue whilst membership remains active.

Monthly instalments secure the member's continued place within the Club and are not calculated according to the number of sessions attended in any particular month.

In addition to monthly membership fees, all members are required to pay an annual Anniversary Charge.

The Anniversary Charge contributes towards administration, membership services, systems, communications and the ongoing operation of the Club.

Do we need British Gymnastics membership?

Yes. All gymnasts must hold valid British Gymnastics membership for insurance purposes.

This is crucial as gymnastics involves using equipment and performing individual acrobatic skills, making it susceptible to injuries. BG membership lasts for 12 months, from September to August. It doesn’t matter when you join during this period; you are obligated to subscribe to British Gymnastics.

Please note, after registering with Twisters Gymnastics Club and participating in your first session, joining British Gymnastics is necessary. There is a comprehensive step-by-step guide available on the website’s menu – please read this guide before logging into the British Gymnastics website at https://www.british-gymnastics.org/ and following the provided instructions.

You will need to directly pay British Gymnastics (BG) through their website during the registration process.

Once you have registered with British Gymnastics, Twisters will receive confirmation of your active membership status. As a result, you will be allowed to continue training at our venue.

Failure to comply with this membership will result in your child not being able to participate in activities for legal purposes.

How do I pay for classes?

Classes are to be paid for via iClassPro. Details on payment schedules will be included at the time of booking. Please email us if you have any queries.

What happens if we miss a class or need to change a session?

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time may be charged in full.

All appointment fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

If you need to modify your child’s session, please reach out to us via email to enquire about availability.

How do I cancel my child’s place if they no longer with to attend?

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to accounts@twistersgymnasticsclub.com.

A minimum of one full monthly payment period's notice is required to cancel membership.Once notice has been received, the next scheduled monthly payment will remain due and

payable in full. This payment constitutes the required notice period.

Membership will continue until the end of that paid period, after which it will automatically end and no further payments will be collected.

Attendance during the notice period is optional and does not affect the fees due.

No refunds, credits or partial refunds will be provided for unused sessions during the notice period or following cancellation.

What to wear & bring

What should my child wear?

Members should wear suitable clothing for gymnastics and physical activity.

For safety reasons, jewellery should not be worn during participation and long hair should be tied back securely.

Gymnasts need to be barefoot to avoid slipping on the equipment.

Twisters club kit is available to try on and purchase at the gym, but not required. These can also be purchased here.

What should my child bring?

A refillable water bottle is all your child really needs - we’ll take care of the movement, energy and fun.

Personal belongings remain the responsibility of the member and their family.

Twisters Gymnastics Club cannot accept responsibility for items that are lost, damaged or stolen.

Safety & Policies

Do you have a safeguarding team?

Yes. Our Welfare Officer is Szczepan, who can be contacted via email at szczepan@twistersgymnasticsclub.com

Additionally, any staff member with a formal qualification has gone through safeguarding training. Staff all hold BG membership themselves, and many are DBS certified when a DBS is required.

What happens in case of injury?

Our coaches and staff are committed to providing a safe environment for all participants.

Where necessary, appropriately trained members of staff will administer first aid and record any accidents or incidents in accordance with the Club's procedures.

Parents and carers should ensure that any relevant medical information is kept up to date.

What are your contingency plans if there was a reason the gym was closed?

On the rare occasion that we needed to close the gym, such as inclement weather, or power cuts etc, we would email affected people, put messages out across all our socials and hopefully even have staff at the gym to meet and explain any issues to people in person.

Such unpredictable occurrences would be non-refundable.

Do you have lost property?

Yes, we store any left over belongings in the hallway and we dispose of these items every term.

More valuable things such as jewellery will be set aside, provided it has been noticed and picked up by staff.

All personal possessions are left / brought to the gym at owners’ own risk.
